FT UI Students Win the Best Student Predicate in the Science and Technology Cluster at Mapres UI 2023

David Fernando Aritonang, a student from the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering who represented the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) in the UI-level Achievement Student Selection (Pilmapres) event won the best award in the Best Science Technology Cluster. The Pilmapres Award was held on Monday (10/04) at the Convention Center, UI Depok Campus, West Java.

Meanwhile, in the other two disciplines, Shakira Amirah (FK) was the finalist in the Best Health Sciences Cluster and Allysa Natalie Hartono (FISIP) was the finalist in the Best Social Humanities Cluster. While awards for the other four categories, namely the Best Character category won by Jasmine Ainal Muthia (Fasilkom), the Best English category won by Najaa Aaliyah Santoso (FEB), and the Best Featured Achievement category and the Best Paper and Presentation category won by Shakira Amirah (FK ).

At the peak of the event, the title of Main Achievement Student UI 2023 Undergraduate Program was then won by Shakira Amirah (FK) as 1st place winner, Allysa Natalie Hartono (FISIP) as 2nd place winner, and Fiqi Adam Pamungkas (FPsi) as 3rd place winner. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Students Main UI 2023 Vocational Program was won by Putri Anindya Ravinta.

The award was given directly by the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. err. nat. Abdul Haris, and attended by the Director of Student Affairs, Badrul Munir, Ph.D. as well as the Head of Sub Directorate of UI Student Affairs.

Previously, the outstanding student finalists had gone through a long selection process at the faculty level. Then at the university level, the selection process is again carried out by measuring creative ideas/innovative products, English skills, outstanding achievements and CVs, as well as psychological tests.

The Selection of Outstanding Students consisted of a jury including Prof. Dr. Ir. Riri Fitri Sari, M.Sc, M.M., Dr. Luckily Yuwono., Prof. Dr. R. Cecep Eka Permana, S.S., M.Sc., and Prof. drg. Risqa Rina Darwita, Ph.D., for the Paper Jury. In addition, Dr. Sitaresmi, M.Sc., Djauhari Jatus Sulichah, S.S., M.Sc., and Dr. Fuad Gani, S.S., M.A. for the English Jury.

While the assessment of the CVs of all participants was carried out by Dr. Teguh Kurniawan, S.Sos, M.Sc., Badrul Munir, Ph.D., Dr.Eng. Radon Dhelika., and Silvia Surini, M.Pharm.Sc., Apt., Ph.D. The Psychotest Jury included Farida Kurniawati, S.Psi., M.Sp.Ed., Ph.D., Psychologist., Nathanael Sumampouw, M.Psi., M.Sc., Psychologist and Dra. Yudiana Ratna Sari. M.Sc., Psychologist.

Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU expressed his appreciation for the award he had won. “Congratulations to David for winning the award as a finalist in the Best Science and Technology Cluster. Congratulations also to the winners of the 2023 UI Main Achievement Student and the other award finalists. The finalists from the 14 faculties are UI’s best students who hopefully can always continue to have a superior impact on the university and the wider community.”
