One of the partners from the Career Development Center of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (CDC FTUI), PT Merdeka Copper Gold, carried out a recruitment program for FTUI and UI graduates to become talents through the Merdeka Young Talent Program 2022 recruitment program. This recruitment was carried out for two days, on 7–8 March 2022 in Room K301, FTUI.

PT Merdeka Copper Gold is a holding company with subsidiaries engaged in mining business activities, including exploration and production of gold, silver, copper and other related minerals as well as mining services.

Participants who pass the selection will become one of the talents of the Merdeka Young Talent Program. This program is a two-year structured development program that targets selected graduates to become future leaders at Merdeka. Armed with knowledge, work experience, and guidance from the best mentors, it is hoped that this program can produce prospective leaders who have strong academic abilities and characteristics that are able to become global leaders in the Indonesian mining industry.

This recruitment activity was attended by 90 people from the graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia as well as several other universities, such as Trisakti University, Gunadarma University, Mercu Buana, and others. On the first day, which is Monday, March 7, 2022, the recruitment test will be held at the Auditorium of Building K.301. It started with an introduction to the company and program, then the test continued with an English test, the CFIT-WPT test, and the Gamfield Assessment.

Based on the first day of the test, as many as 24 people passed for the next selection, namely interviews. The interview test will be held on March 8, 2022 in the Smart Classroom. Not only at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, this recruitment was also carried out at Padjadjaran University and the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS).
