9.3.1 Number of university spin offs
The separation of universities has strengthened the relationship between universities and industry. The many patents and technological spin-offs resulting from university research have a significant impact on regional economic and social development.
FTUI has an institution called LEMTEK UI. LEMTEK UI as a Special Work Unit for Services and Community Service at the University of Indonesia as determined by the Decree of the Chancellor of the University of Indonesia No. 1573/SK/R/UI/2017 dated 2 August 2017. LEMTEK UI provides Consulting Services in the fields of Engineering, Management and Human Resources Development. LEMTEK UI is fully supported by professional experts and laboratory facilities from all departments at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, environmental engineering and architecture.
