2019 APEC Science Prize for Innovation, Research and Education (ASPIRE) is now accepting nominations. APEC’s host economy for 2019, Chile, selected the theme “Natural Laboratories,” which focuses on scientific developments through the discovery in nature or “natural laboratories.” Natural laboratories create unique local conditions for scientific discovery and inform how societies can pioneer next generation innovations to promote sustainable growth as part of a strategy to strengthen science, technology and innovation as essential drivers of development.

Individually qualified applicants are encouraged to complete the Local Nomination Form and send it to PPSTI Program Director Ms. Zhongzhen LIU (lzz@apec.org) by April 26, 2019 so it may be directed toward local economy reviewers.

be recognized at an award ceremony during the 14th APEC PPSTI Meeting in Chile tentatively scheduled for August 2019.
