We are pleased to announce two new calls of proposals on Science and Technology and Innovation thematic areas for 2019 under the Southeast Asia-Europe Joint Funding Scheme (JFS). The JFS is an instrument managed by the European Commission’s Service Facility in Support of the Strategic Development of International Cooperation in Research and Innovation and its funded by several European and Southeast Asian agencies and national, regional and local ministries.

The aim of the JFS is to support bi-regional cooperation in research and innovation on changing thematic areas of interest to the participating funders. Overall, the JFS fosters new international partnerships or strengthen existing ones in these areas of research.

A typical project funded under the JFS would include at least 3 partners from 3 different countries with duration of 3 years. Usually costs such as personnel, (small) equipment, consumables, travel and workshops are eligible. Yet, this can vary from funder to funder since the national rules apply.
