We are pleased to announce the start of the application period for the Tokyo Tech-Asia Young Scientist and Engineer Advanced Study Program (Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS) 2017. This annual program is the successor to the Japan-Asia Young Scientist and Engineer Study Visit (JAYSES) program, which ran from 2007 to 2012. Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS will be held in the summer of 2017 in Manila, the Philippines.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could introduce this program to the students and other interested parties at your university. Please refer to the attached announcement and tentative schedule for further information.
Application procedures:
- Students will submit their application forms to the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Administration Office (ayseas@jim.titech.ac.jp).

Application deadline: Monday, May 22, 2017, 23:59 Japanese Standard Time. - Upon receipt of your students’ applications, the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Administration Office will forward the applications to you.
- Please review the applications, select candidates (Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Administration Office will announce the limit based on the number of applicants from your university) and notify the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Administration Office with a list of candidates, prioritized according to your policies, by Thursday, June 16, 2017. The number of students accepted will ultimately be determined by the capacity of the program, so please specify two stand-by candidates in case additional spaces become available.
The selection results will be sent directly from the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Administration Office to all applicants.
