The two-day MOOCs BimTek activity which took place at the Alana Hotel & Convention Center Sentul aims to provide technical instructions regarding the process of making MOOCs so that educators at FTUI can independently create creative learning media to support the teaching process to students.

This event was also attended by the Vice Dean of  FTUI for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Head of the Unit Modernization and Internationalization of Education FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. In his remarks, the Vice Dean, Prof. Yanuar, said, “With the experience of 2 years of this pandemic, we have experienced limitations in the online learning and teaching process. This then requires all lecturers to interrupt conventional learning methods and must innovate in the process of transferring knowledge to students. The provision of MOOCs learning media is one of the innovations to answer the challenges related to online learning and is also a means to develop distance learning. With the increasing number of courses at FTUI in the form of MOOCs, it is hoped that in the future it can become a supporting medium for lecturers and also especially for students to be able to better understand lecture material with an active learning approach.”

The Technical Guidance was attended by 12 Lecturers who were the recipients of MOOCs Grants held by UI and FTUI. This BimTek is an early stage which will be held periodically for lecturers in the FTUI environment so that the quantity and quality of MOOCs produced will be better in the future.
