FTUI Conducts 2026 Academic Internal Audit Preparation Meeting to Strengthen Study Program Re-Accreditation Readiness

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), through its Academic Quality Assurance Unit (UPMA), held a preparation meeting for the 2026 Academic Internal Audit (AIA) on Monday (2/2) at the Board of Professors Room, Dean’s Office Building, FTUI. This activity is part of FTUI’s strategic efforts to maintain academic quality continuity and ensure study programs’ readiness for the re-accreditation process.

The implementation of the 2026 AIA refers to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Memorandum No. ND-1556/UN2.F4.D/PDP.06.01/2025 dated June 10, 2025, concerning the Response to the Preparation of the 2026 Annual Work Plan (RKT) of the Directorate of Academic Quality Assurance (DPMA), taking into account the accreditation validity period of each study program.

Four study programs will serve as auditees in the 2026 Academic Internal Audit: the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, the Undergraduate Program in Computer Engineering, the Master’s Program in Environmental Engineering, and the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering. The Undergraduate Programs in Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering are currently accredited “Excellent” (Unggul) by BAN-PT, valid until November 2, 2026, and are scheduled to undergo re-accreditation in Batch 2 of 2026. The Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering also holds an “Excellent” accreditation from BAN-PT, valid until December 22, 2026, and is likewise scheduled for re-accreditation in Batch 2 of 2026. Meanwhile, the Master’s Program in Environmental Engineering is accredited “Very Good” (Baik Sekali) by LAM Teknik, valid until August 20, 2028, and is scheduled for re-accreditation in Batch 3 of 2026.

All Academic Internal Audit activities for these four study programs have been allocated in the 2026 DPMA Annual Work Plan, with full funding provided by DPMA. The submission for LAM re-accreditation Batch 2 is scheduled for the registration stage on May 1–14, 2026. Meanwhile, submissions to BAN-PT must be made no later than six months before the accreditation validity period expires.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized that the Academic Internal Audit is a vital instrument within the faculty’s internal quality assurance system. “The Academic Internal Audit serves as a mechanism for the Faculty of Engineering to ensure that all academic processes are carried out in accordance with established quality standards. Moreover, AIA plays a crucial role in preparing study programs to optimally face re-accreditation,” he stated.

The Academic Internal Audit (AIA) is a systematic, independent, and documented evaluation process conducted by the university to assess the conformity between the implementation of academic activities and the applicable quality standards. In 2026, FTUI’s AIA will use the latest updated AIA instrument, which has been aligned with the study program accreditation instruments.

The Head of FTUI’s Academic Quality Assurance Unit, Prof. Dr. Ir. Fitri Yuli Zulkifli, S.T., M.Sc., stated, “The Academic Internal Audit provides a clear overview of study programs’ readiness, both in terms of accreditation documents and supporting evidence. With the alignment between the AIA instrument and the accreditation instrument, study programs can identify areas for improvement at an early stage before entering the re-accreditation phase,” she explained.

Through the implementation of the 2026 Academic Internal Audit, FTUI reaffirms its commitment to fostering a sustainable quality culture and strengthening its academic competitiveness at both the national and international levels.
