They were welcomed by Dr. rer. pol. Ir. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Manager of Student Affairs, Research, and Community Service at FTUI, and Siti N. Winduningtyas, Coordinator of International Cooperation at FTUI.

“This mobility program between the two universities is planned to take place in the summer, specifically in January 2026, with a duration of 10 days to 2 weeks. We expect 15 to 20 students to participate in this program,” said Prof. Shanika.

Dr. Romadhani, representing FTUI, welcomed the program. “The proposed main topic will focus on Renewable Energy, and UniMelb will also provide information on the exact number of participants. To align the topics, FTUI will send a list of topics and the names of faculty members who can participate in the program to UniMelb. This step aims to create a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge in fields such as renewable energy and sustainable engineering solutions.”

Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., Dean of FTUI, also expressed his support: “We are confident that this exchange of knowledge will bring mutual benefits, enhance the quality of education, enrich our students’ academic experiences, and strengthen the positions of FTUI and UniMelb in the global engineering education arena. This collaboration reflects our commitment to continuously improving the quality of education in line with international standards and global trends in higher education. We hope that the relationship between FTUI and UniMelb will grow stronger, contributing significantly to higher education and sustainable technological development.”

This collaboration is expected to enhance students’ learning experiences through exposure to international academic standards and practices, especially in areas relevant to Indonesia and the world.

In this meeting, FTUI and UniMelb strengthened their educational ties by offering students the opportunity to experience international exposure and engaging faculty members in cross-border knowledge exchange. This collaboration has the potential to improve the quality of engineering and information technology education in Indonesia, in line with global trends in higher education.

***

Public Relations Office
Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia

The University of Melbourne (UniMelb), the second oldest and one of the best universities in Australia, visited the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) on Monday, November 11, at the FTUI Dean’s Office Meeting Room.
