{"id":57640,"date":"2025-03-14T09:00:13","date_gmt":"2025-03-14T02:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eng.ui.ac.id\/?p=57640"},"modified":"2025-03-12T12:33:12","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T05:33:12","slug":"ftui-k3l-holds-basic-fire-extinguisher-training-for-administrative-and-cleaning-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eng.ui.ac.id\/en\/ftui-k3l-holds-basic-fire-extinguisher-training-for-administrative-and-cleaning-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"FTUI K3L Holds Basic Fire Extinguisher Training for Administrative and Cleaning Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To enhance the standards of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (K3L) within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), the FTUI K3L Unit organized a Basic Fire Extinguisher Training session on February 28, 2025, at the Volleyball Court, located next to the GK Building.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The training was designed to provide theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice for administrative staff (Tendik) and cleaning service personnel from the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dean\u2019s<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Building and GK Building. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Participants were guided<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on identifying fire hazards, initial fire suppression procedures, and adequate fire extinguisher usage techniques in various fire scenarios. By improving their understanding and skills, participants <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are expected<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to take quick, accurate, and safe actions when facing potential fire hazards in their workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., the Dean of FTUI, emphasized the importance of preparedness in handling fire emergencies.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> &#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This basic fire extinguisher training is a strategic step to enhance the capacity of our administrative and cleaning staff to deal with potential fire incidents. With sufficient knowledge and skills, we hope all participants can respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies, creating a safer work environment free from fire risks,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8221; <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">said Prof. Kemas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As part of <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">FTUI&#8217;s<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> commitment to fostering a safe and conducive work environment, the FTUI K3L Unit consistently conducts various educational programs and training sessions to raise awareness and improve the safety skills of all academic community members.
