The Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), once again held a public lecture featuring an international speaker, <\/span>Dr.<\/span> Rajesh Piplani, Programme Director of the MSc in Supply Chain Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n

The lecture on Friday (11\/04) on the 4th floor of the DTI FTUI Building was themed<\/span> “<\/span>Emerging Supply Chain Trends & Innovative Teaching Practices.<\/span>“<\/span><\/em> Industrial Engineering lecturers and students attended, and the aim was to provide global insights into the dynamics of modern supply chains <\/span>and<\/span> innovative teaching approaches relevant to current industrial challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his presentation, <\/span>Dr.<\/span> Rajesh Piplani explained various emerging trends in the supply chain industry, such as integrating digital technologies, utilising big data and AI, and the growing importance of transparency and sustainability in global supply chains.<\/span><\/p>\n

“S<\/span>upply chains are no longer just about logistical efficiency, agility, resilience, and collaboration across technologies and people. <\/span>Today\u2019s<\/span> global challenges demand systems that are adaptive and strategically intelligent,<\/span>” <\/span>said Dr. Rajesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond industrial trends, Dr. Rajesh also shared his experiences and innovative teaching practices implemented at NTU, including real-world project integration, digital simulations, and problem-based learning methods to equip students with industry-ready and practical skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

“P<\/span>ublic lectures like this are vital in broadening <\/span>students\u2019<\/span> perspectives on global practices and industry challenges. <\/span>Dr. Rajesh <\/span>Piplani\u2019s<\/span> presence adds tremendous value in terms of technical supply chain knowledge and insights on innovative and adaptive teaching methods,<\/span>” <\/span>stated Dr.<\/span>rer<\/span>.<\/span>pol<\/span>.<\/span> Ir. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., <\/span>FTUI\u2019s<\/span> Manager of Student Affairs and Alumni.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., remarked,<\/span> “<\/span>International public lectures like this are part of <\/span>FTUI\u2019s<\/span> efforts to foster a global and collaborative academic atmosphere. The presence of Dr. Rajesh Piplani from NTU offers valuable insights into the field of supply chain engineering, which is highly relevant to <\/span>today\u2019s<\/span> industrial challenges. We hope this event inspires students and lecturers <\/span>to actively engage in international discourse and expand their academic networks<\/span>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

FTUI Industrial Engineering students and faculty enthusiastically welcomed the session, viewing it as highly relevant and enlightening, particularly in aligning curriculum and teaching methods with the evolving needs of the global industry.<\/span><\/p>\n
