The Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) once again demonstrated its commitment to enhancing the quality of human resources in Indonesia\u2019s construction sector by organizing a Professional Certification Examination for Construction Professionals on Friday (09\/05). The event was held in collaboration with three professional certification bodies (LSP), namely the Construction Management Certification Body (HAMKI), the Occupational Safety in Construction Certification Body, and the Bina Konstruksi Nusantara (BKN) Certification Body.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis initiative is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to encouraging students and construction practitioners to meet nationally recognized competency standards and to be ready to contribute directly to the industry,\u201d said Ayomi Dita Rarasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at FTUI.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe truly appreciate this collaboration. Certification is not merely a formality, but a crucial foundation for developing a construction workforce that is professional, competent, and capable of facing global challenges,\u201d stated Mr. Samuel E. D. P. Tampubolon, S.E., M.M., Head of BJKW III Jakarta, in his opening remarks.<\/p>\n
The certification exams continued into the afternoon and were divided based on rooms and the respective certification bodies. Participants underwent interviews and written tests conducted in parallel by assessors in several rooms.<\/p>\n
The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., stated, \u201cThrough the organization of this certification exam, FTUI strengthens its active role as an educational institution that bridges the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs. This formal recognition of competence is expected to enhance professionalism, safety, and the overall quality of Indonesia\u2019s construction workforce, while preparing them to compete at national and international levels.\u201d<\/p>\n
