Out of 120 enrolled students, 111 have completed their academic journey at FTUI. To mark this achievement, FTUI and PLN held the <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">FTUI\u2013PT PLN Collaborative Program Graduation Ceremony<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on Friday (September 12) at Margo Hotel, Depok.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">n 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia proudly welcomed 120 students from PT PLN (Persero) to pursue their studies on our campus. Today, with gratitude and pride, we celebrate the graduation of those who have completed their studies. They not only went through academic learning but also managed to balance it with their professional responsibilities. This makes their learning experience truly valuable and serves as an inspiring example of lifelong learning,\u201d said the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., in his opening remarks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Prof. Kemas also expressed his hope that the graduates would carry FTUI\u2019s core values\u2014<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Excellence through Achievement, Empowerment, and Culture<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u2014into their professional lives. <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Achievement<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> means the ability to excel and provide impactful solutions; <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Empowerment<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> reflects capability, skill, and perseverance in facing challenges; and <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Culture<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> signifies upholding ethics, integrity, and collaboration in every endeavor. \u201cThese are the values we hope will define you as FTUI alumni and as professionals at PLN,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Oldy Boyke Masinambow, Vice President of Recruitment and Human Capital Competency Development at PT PLN (Persero), also delivered his remarks:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cSince early 2023, Universitas Indonesia has been a strategic partner of PLN in implementing the <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Distance Learning Program (PBJJ)<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> specifically designed for our employees. From identifying curriculum needs relevant to the electricity and renewable energy sectors, selecting qualified participants, providing flexible and high-quality learning, to guiding thesis research aligned with industrial challenges\u2014particularly those related to PLN\u2019s energy transition and renewable energy development agenda\u2014this program ensures that operational excellence remains a key priority.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">S.Si.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, M.Eng<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">., Manager of Cooperation, Venture, and Entrepreneurship at FTUI, presented a report on the program\u2019s achievements. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to his report, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">among<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the 111 graduates<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, most<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> demonstrated outstanding performance.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> The Department of Electrical Engineering led the way with 40 graduates, recording the highest average GPA of 3.83. The top achievement was earned by Wahyu Citra Kurniawan, who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00, along with two other <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Summa Cum Laude<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> graduates and 26 <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cum Laude<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> graduates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Department of Energy Systems Engineering followed with 34 graduates and an average GPA of 3.67. Muhammad Zharif Himawan was the top graduate with a GPA of 3.94, and 15 students graduated <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cum Laude<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. The Department of Chemical Engineering produced 19 graduates with an average GPA of 3.69; David Silalahi earned the highest GPA of 3.88, while seven others graduated <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cum Laude<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Lastly, the Department of Mechanical Engineering contributed 18 graduates with a solid average GPA of 3.75; Enrico Gultom achieved the highest GPA of 3.91, and half of the department\u2019s graduates\u2014nine students\u2014earned <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cum Laude<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> honors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWith the knowledge they have deepened and refined, these graduates are expected to become the driving force of innovation, contributing significantly to PLN\u2019s progress and ultimately supporting the nation\u2019s energy sovereignty. They return not merely as employees but as energy experts ready to face challenges and lead meaningful change,\u201d said Dr. Sahlan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">During the event, four graduate representatives shared their impressions and reflections on their learning journey at FTUI. Muhamad Mandala Putra from Electrical Engineering highlighted the lecturers\u2019 strong discipline and demanding coursework. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Deri Tialis Peristiawan from Mechanical Engineering shared how students worked together to coordinate class schedules <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">to ensure<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> everyone could attend effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jaka Sailendra from Energy Systems Engineering offered an inspiring quote to motivate his peers:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cEvery ticking second is a final opportunity\u2014so it deserves to be treated as the best one.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Lastly, Muhammad Irfansyah from Chemical Engineering expressed his deep gratitude for the opportunity to study at FTUI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Before the event concluded, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, introduced FTUI\u2019s <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Endowment Fund Program<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, which has recently been launched. The program serves as a gesture of gratitude for the education received and ensures the sustainability of high-quality education for future generations. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Contributions from donors<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> will <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">become<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> a lasting legacy for the advancement of education and technology in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The event was attended by several representatives from FTUI, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs; Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">M.Si.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, CPR.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, Manager of Public Communication and General Administration; Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Herman Yuwono, M.Phil.Eng., Secretary of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Research Unit; Dr.-Ing. Ir. Mohammad Adhitya, S.T., M.Sc., Secretary of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. Dr.Eng. Arief Udhiarto, S.T., M.T., IPU., Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering; Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, S.T., M.T., Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering; and Dr. Eng.
