This program was designed to bring together interdisciplinary perspectives on understanding and utilizing Multimodal Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) as an advanced analytical tool for electrochemical research, functional materials, biomedical applications, and other engineering fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The scientific discussion featured Purba Purnama, Ph.D., from PT Vanadia Utama. He presented the use of Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy (SECCM) for analyzing electrochemical phenomena in energy materials, the application of thermal mapping to understand heat distribution in smart materials and microelectronic devices, as well as the capability of high-resolution topography to map biomaterial structures and other complex surfaces with nanometer-level accuracy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cMultimodal AFM techniques that integrate SECCM, thermal mapping, and high-resolution topography enable researchers to obtain a more comprehensive view of material characteristics. This approach is considered essential for the development of innovative materials, biomedical research, and engineering applications requiring high precision,\u201d<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> explained Purba Purnama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The event was attended by lecturers, researchers, and laboratory staff from various FTUI departments, as well as participants from Gunadarma University and Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika). The strong enthusiasm of the participants reflected the growing need for nanocaracterization technologies in modern research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">FTUI Dean, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the discussion. <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cFTUI is committed to strengthening research capacity through multidisciplinary collaboration. Technologies such as SECCM and multimodal AFM open significant opportunities for innovation in materials, energy, and biomedical fields.
