The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), has further strengthened its international network through the signing of a Participation Agreement with the Virtual Convergence College, Chung-Ang University (CAU), Republic of Korea, as part of the implementation of the Global Fintech Talent Development Program on 24 June 2026. The agreement marks an important milestone in expanding international academic collaboration while creating broader opportunities for FTUI students to gain global learning experiences.<\/p>\n
The delegation from Chung-Ang University was led by Prof. Wi Jong Hyun, Dean of the Virtual Convergence College, Chung-Ang University. Representing FTUI were Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of FTUI; Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Herman Yuwono, M.Phil.Eng., Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs; Aji Nur Widyanto, S.T., M.T., Secretary of the Department of Electrical Engineering; and Dr. Prima Dewi Purnamasari, S.T., M.Sc., Head of the Computer Engineering Undergraduate Program.<\/p>\n
In addition to the signing ceremony, the event also served as the official send-off for three FTUI students who successfully secured places in a one-year student exchange program at Chung-Ang University. During the event, the students had the opportunity to interact directly with the CAU delegation, receive briefings on academic and campus life in the Republic of Korea, and sign their Learning Agreements as part of their pre-departure preparations.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, emphasized that the partnership represents a strategic step toward expanding international learning opportunities for FTUI students.<\/p>\n
Through the Global Fintech Talent Development Program, our students will not only strengthen their academic competencies but also broaden their global perspectives and enhance their readiness to address future industry challenges. We hope this collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between FTUI and Chung-Ang University,” said Prof. Kemas.<\/p>\n
Welcoming the collaboration, Prof. Wi Jong Hyun expressed his appreciation to FTUI for establishing the partnership. He stated that the Global Fintech Talent Development Program is expected to provide students with valuable opportunities to broaden their international outlook, deepen their expertise in technology and innovation, and build cross-border academic networks. According to him, this initiative represents the first step toward expanding cooperation between Chung-Ang University and FTUI in education, research, and broader academic exchange programs in the future.<\/p>\n
The partnership is expected to pave the way for broader collaboration between FTUI and Chung-Ang University, extending beyond student mobility to include joint educational initiatives, collaborative research, and other forms of international academic cooperation. Through this partnership, FTUI continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding global learning opportunities and preparing graduates with strong international competitiveness.<\/p>\n
