2019 APEC Science Prize for Innovation, Research and Education (ASPIRE)\u00a0<\/strong>is now accepting nominations. APEC\u2019s host economy for 2019, Chile, selected the theme \u201cNatural Laboratories,” which focuses on scientific developments through the discovery in nature\u00a0or \u201cnatural laboratories.\u201d\u00a0Natural laboratories create unique local conditions for scientific discovery and inform how societies can pioneer next generation innovations to promote sustainable growth\u00a0as part of a strategy to strengthen science, technology and innovation as essential drivers of development.<\/div>\n
