The\u00a0<\/strong>ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ACYLS is an initiative put forward by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and echoed by all ASEAN leaders at the 21st\u00a0<\/sup>ASEAN-China Summit in 2018. It enables ASEAN nationals to pursue post-graduate studies and training opportunities in China, thus enhancing ASEAN\u2019s capacity building and promoting academic and vocation exchanges between China and ASEAN. The Chinese government, through the China Mission to ASEAN in cooperation with the Joint Committee in Jakarta, offers\u00a040 full scholarships<\/strong>\u00a0for AUN member and associate member universities for the ACYLS 2020.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2020 ACYLS intake includes the award for:<\/p>\n

– 10 Master\u2019s degree programme<\/p>\n

– 10\u00a0Doctoral degree programme<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 20 One-semester research scholar programme<\/p>\n

Financial\u00a0Scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n

ACYLS offers full scholarship covering\u00a0all program-related expenses including tuition waiver and other school fees, accommodation, round-trip international airfare, comprehensive medical insurance and stipends.<\/u><\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants of ACYLS should meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Citizen of 10 ASEAN Member States;<\/li>\n
  2. In sound physical and mental health;<\/li>\n
  3. Proficient in English (i.e., must possess an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or a TOEFL score of at least 80 points);<\/li>\n
  4. Holder of an undergraduate degree and under the age of 45 if applying for a master\u2019s degree;<\/li>\n
  5. Holder of a graduate\/master\u2019s degree and under the age of 45 if applying for a PhD degree;<\/li>\n
  6. Holder of at least an undergraduate degree if applying for the short-term research program;<\/li>\n
  7. Having at least one-year work experience within government agencies, public or private institutions, universities, think-tanks or similar social agencies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Applicants have to complete an online application at\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/www.csc.edu.cn\/studyinchina<\/a><\/u>\u00a0or\u00a0http:\/\/www.campuschina.org<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and click \u201cScholarship Application for Students\u201d to log in. Please refer to the attached ACYLS Guidebook, pages 6-7 and 12-13 for more information on the application procedure.<\/p>\n

    One original hard copy of the applications must be submitted to the AUN Secretariat Office\u00a0no later than 31 March 2020.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    The scholarship information will be available on the home page of the AUN website by 24 February 2020.
