Pada bulan Agustus 2019 lalu, UI bersama dengan PT KAI dan PT BNI telah mengadakan “Sayembara Arsitektur Desain Stasiun KRL Commuter Line UI, Depok”. Sayembara ini menarik banyak antusias civitas UI dan alumni UI untuk mengikutinya. Semua civitas UI yang berpartisipasi memberikan karya yang terbaik untuk pembangunan stasiun UI kelak.
Mahasiswa FT UI, Radifan Faiz Irsyadi (PT 2015), telah berhasil meraih Best Presenter dalam ajang Konferensi Internasional Aerospace Technology Communications and Energy Systems (ATCES) 2019.
Gedung Manufacturing Research Center (MRC) FT UI meraih Juara 1 Kategori Bangunan Hemat Energi Inovasi Khusus dalam Penghargaan Subroto Bidang Efisiensi Energi 2019 yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM).
Tim SMV UI, Nakoela Hore, meraih Juara 1 Kelas Prototipe Gasoline Kompetisi Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) Dikti 2019 yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 24-28 September 2019 di Sirkuit JSI (Jl Jakarta-Jl Simpang Ijen) Kota Malang.
Empat mahasiswa FT UI yang tergabung dalam tim Argopuro meraih Juara Umum UTM Bridge Model Competition 2019. Keempat mahasiswa itu adalah Antonius Hendro (Teknik Sipil 2016), M Khaerun Zuhri (Teknik Sipil 2016), Farras M Furqon (Teknik Sipil 2016), dan Ega Alvian (Teknik Sipil 2016).
