12 FTUI Lecturers and Researchers Obtain RKI Funds Worth 1 Billion

To produce more comprehensive research, the Universitas Indonesia (UI) together with 20 other Legal Entity Universities (PTNBH) have collaborated to organize the Indonesian Collaborative Research (RKI) program since 2018. The research focus covers sectors in the priority areas of science, technology, and social humanities. These include the food, energy, health independence, transportation, defence and security sectors, agro-maritime, tourism, digital diplomacy, and social humanities.

The sectors that are developed must contain a multi/inter/cross-disciplinary approach and preferably have local Indonesian content (indigenous knowledge and resources) and aim to help solve local problems that exist in Indonesia, including the special topic of the COVID-19 pandemic. The RKI research results are expected to provide sustainable development that is based on a digital, blue and green economy.

There are three schemes offered in the RKI Program, including Scheme A, which is a collaboration between 21 PTNBHs, Scheme B, which is a collaboration of 21 PTNBHs with BRIN, and Scheme C, which is a collaboration of 21 PTNBHs with foreign research institutions/overseas universities). Based on the results of the selection and evaluation of proposals which was held on May 8 2023, 12 lecturers and researchers from the UI Faculty of Engineering (FTUI) succeeded in qualifying as RKI funding recipients for 2023.

Four of them are principal researchers and eight are partner researchers. FTUI lecturers as the main researchers include Prof. Paramita Atmodiwirjo, S.T., M.Arch., Ph.D. (Scheme A), Prof. Yandi Andri Yatmo, S.T., M.Arch., Ph.D. (Scheme A), Prof. Dr. Ir. Yusuf Latief, M.T. (Scheme B), and Eny Kusrini, S.Si., Ph.D. (Scheme C). While FTUI lecturers as partner researchers include, Prof. Dr. Ir. Anne Zulfia Syahrial, M.Sc. (Scheme A), Prof. Dr. Fitri Yuli Zulkifli, S.T., M.Sc. (Scheme A), Dr. Kenny Lischer, S.T., M.T. (Scheme A), Prof. Dr. ing. Nandy Setiadi Djaya Putra (Scheme A), Dr. Rr. Dwinanti Rika Marthanty, S.T., M.T. (Scheme A), Dr. -Eng. Ridho Irwansyah, S.T., M.T. (Scheme A), Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Sri Harjanto (Scheme A), and Prof. Dr. Ario Sunar Baskoro, S.T., M.T., M.Eng. (Scheme C).

Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU said, “In 2023, FTUI will receive RKI grants worth 1 billion which will be used for research, especially in the fields of science and technology. The results of this research are a form of FTUI’s contribution as the best engineering campus in Indonesia to bring Indonesian research to an international level.”
