Monday, 6 February 2023 an event was held to determine the Head of IMPASTEK FTUI (Postgraduate Student Association, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia). The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Manager of Student Affairs, Research and Community Service, Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Head of ILUNI FTUI, Nanang Sugianto, as well as representatives from BEM FTUI, MPM FTUI, and FTUI graduate students.
In his remarks, Prof. Yanuar said, “There is real anxiety among postgraduate students who do not yet have a formal forum for activities, while active student organizations are institutions for undergraduate students who have relatively different needs and interests. In addition, graduate students and alumni are relatively unconnected with ILUNI FTUI.”
Through this anxiety, Dr. Romadhani moved to form a formation team and made bylaws/art for the organization of the Postgraduate Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia which eventually became known as IMPASTEK FT UI on 27 August 2022. From the results of the general election for the Chairman and Deputy Chairperson of IMPASTEK 2023 which was held in January 2023, Permata Putra Satria Sinura was elected from the Masters in Electrical Engineering as the Chairperson of IMPASTEK 2023 and Panca Hadi Arief Setiawan from the Masters in Environmental Engineering as the Deputy Chairperson of IMPASTEK 2023.
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Hery Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., expressed his hopes regarding the appointment of IMPASTEK chairman and deputy chairman. “Through the appointment of the chairman and deputy chairman of IMPASTEK 2023, it is hoped that in the future IMPASTEK will be able to become a home for postgraduate students to carry out their activities and become an independent organization. Apart from that, IMPASTEK FTUI is expected to increase the spirit of kinship and knowledge among members, uphold the good name of FTUI, and can encourage the application of science and technology that can be widely utilized by the community.”
