The Roadshow of the Dean Greets the Industrial Engineering Department was held in a hybrid manner (31/01) attended by 17 people online and 10 people attending directly at the Department of Industrial Engineering. Among those present were the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.T., IPU, the two Vice Deans of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc. and Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Head and Secretary of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Dr. Komarudin, ST., M.Eng. and Dr. Zulkarnain, S.T., M.T.

“Representative of Industrial Engineering at the faculty team, Dr. Romadhani Ardi, in a short time has proven an outstanding performance. We are currently exploring cooperation with UC Berkeley. Apart from that I would also like to congratulate Dr. Amalia Suzianti, who was asked to become UI’s HR Director,” said Dean Heri in his remarks.

There were several things that became the topic of discussion between the Dean, the Vice Deans and the teaching staff of the Department of Industrial Engineering. Among them is the proposal to make multidisciplinary lectures related to entrepreneurship culture which includes prototypes, business and entrepreneurial formation laws. In addition, it also discussed the entrepreneur camp, CPL at the UI level, the need to re-enforce the implementation of the Health protocol in the FT.

Head of Department, Dr. Komarudin also reported that this semester, 68 students from DTI will participate in MBKM activities. “Because the curriculum in Industrial Engineering has been designed to accommodate MBKM, 1/3 of new students join MBKM. We have designed a logbook for the credit transfer process for students,” said Dr. Komarudin.

It also discussed the possibility of making educational cooperation packages with agencies. In addition, questions arise about the need for a Crisis Management Center at FTUI and discussions regarding the use of lecturers with NIDK status to increase the need for human resources for teaching staff without increasing the financial burden of the university/faculty.
