Since 2014, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) is the only faculty that distributes diplomas and transcripts on time at graduation. In the 2021/2022 odd semester graduation, FTUI again distributed diplomas and transcripts to 384 graduates. The distribution of diplomas is carried out by the academic team under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dr. Nyoman Suwartha, S.T., M.T., M.Agr., FTUI Associate Dean for Academic.
“The distribution of diplomas and transcripts on time is proof of FTUI’s commitment to provide excellent service to its graduates at the end of their study period. This is also the embodiment of ISO 9001:2015 as a guarantee of the quality of administrative and academic services at the Faculty Administration Center, Departments and Work Units within FTUI,” said Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU.
“We managed to complete the diplomas and transcripts of all graduates on time. This is an achievement in itself, considering that this semester’s diploma begins to include the National Diploma Numbering (PIN) in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Number 59 of 2018 regarding the Use of National Diploma Numbering (PIN) and the Electronic Diploma Verification System (SIVIL),” said Prof. Yanuar related to the challenges faced by FTUI when preparing diplomas and transcripts for graduates of this semester.
PIN is a diploma numbering process using a system to produce a diploma number issued by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and applies nationally. PIN is also directly registered in the Higher Education Database (PDPT). PIN will be given when the student completes the lecture process at a university. The number issued is called the National Diploma Number which consists of 15 digit numbers in the form of 5 digit study program code, 4 digit year of graduation, and 5 digit serial number and 1 digit for Check Digit, diploma issued by the PIN application.
“For the 2021/2022 odd semester graduates who have not had time to take their diplomas and transcripts at the time of graduation for one reason or another, there is no need to worry. The collection of diplomas and transcripts is still served by the academic team on the 1st floor of the PAF Building every working day. We hope that graduates can pay attention to health protocols during the process of taking their diplomas,” said Dr. comfortable.
In 2021, FTUI has also launched PAF Online service (http://paf.eng.ui.ac.id). This technology-based administrative service will make it easier for alumni and students to order legalized transcripts and diplomas virtually.
