The Career Development Center, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (CDC FTUI) held a Japanese Construction Company Fair job fair. This event was held in collaboration with the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism (MLIT) and Oriental Consultants in the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean Building ( 9/2/2023).
In this activity, five construction companies from Japan were present, namely BEST ENGINEER Co., Ltd., Fukuchigumi Co., Ltd., Japan Steel Tower Co., Ltd., KOUKEN Corp., and the Moricho Corporation. This activity was opened by the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., and attended by representatives from each company.
In his remarks, Prof. Yanuar conveyed a positive response, “This activity is expected to provide benefits for final year students and alumni, this activity is an opportunity for career opportunities in Japanese companies. Apart from that, FTUI lecturers can also open a network of collaborations to create research and study collaborations, as well as exchange insights with companies.”
On this occasion, each company explained the company profile, the technology used, the field of work, and the work culture that applies to the company. Besides being able to get to know the company more deeply, this event also provides opportunities for students and alumni to conduct direct interviews with company representatives.
This activity is a follow-up activity after the previous Online Company Introduction pre-event was held on January 24, 2023. In the pre-event activity, participants received information about company profiles and a brief explanation of career opportunities in Japanese companies.
Met on a separate occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU said, “With this activity, it is hoped that it will open opportunities for cooperation for lecturers and Japanese companies as well as open career opportunities for FTUI students and graduates.”
