Career Development Center, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (CDC FTUI) in collaboration with PT Paragon Technology and Innovation held an Instagram Live with the theme “Starting a Career in the FMCG World, Why Not?” The activity, which was carried out through Instagram Live @cdc_ftui and @grotatparagon, explained the career prospects in the Fast Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) field, especially for FTUI alumni.
This activity was filled by Aisyah Nur Afianti as Wardah Training and Development Manager of PT Paragon Technology and Innovation as well as a graduate of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering FTUI class 2012. This activity was also opened with remarks from Dr. -Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto as Associate Dea for Cooperation, Venture, and Alumni of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia.
In this digital era, information about careers and job opportunities is easy to find. For this reason, the existence of Instagram Live is a new form of conveying information in a light and relaxed manner, but still useful for the audience, especially for prospective FTUI graduates.
The first presentation was delivered by Aisyah Nur Afianti who has worked at PT Paragon Technology and Innovation since 2016. As an alumni of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering FTUI, Aisyah explained, “To work in the FMCG field, first of all prospective graduates must know their passion in the field of FMCG. field of work. In the FMCG industry, there are technical and non-technical roles. To be able to work in non-technical fields, you need the right skills according to your qualifications.”
Aisyah also explained that in work, every individual has a goal to develop. These goals must also be in accordance with the company’s goals so that in the future, many things can be obtained and done, both for the progress of the company and for self-development.
Instagram Live viewers who were present also asked questions related to careers, such as skills that must be possessed, tips for applying, and future career opportunities. Thus, this Instagram Live activity becomes very lively.
The Instagram Live rebroadcast between CDC FTUI and PT Paragon Technology and Innovation can be watched again on Instagram CDC FTUI (@cdc_ftui). The activity which lasted for approximately one hour was watched by hundreds of people and was very informative in a relaxed style.
The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU said, “In the future, FTUI CDC will continue to provide information about career opportunities, either in the form of job vacancies or internships, webinars, bootcamps, and so on. Hopefully these activities can be used by the wider community and FTUI CDC members.”
