Improve Management Quality, FTUI Conducts Internal Audit for ISO 9001:2015 Fulfillment

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the UI Faculty of Engineering held the opening of a series of ISO 9001:2015 internal audits. The series of audits will be carried out in the first week of October. The purpose of this internal audit is to ensure that the FTUI quality management system complies with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard. In addition, the internal audit also aims to ensure that the quality management system can be implemented and maintained effectively, as well as as input for the continuous improvement of the implementation of the quality management system at FTUI.

“This internal audit is carried out so that later known deficiencies can be corrected first. So that when the external audit runs we are ready and not in a hurry. We hope that this process can develop the implementation of management at the UI Faculty of Engineering, especially in the scope of ISO 9001:2015,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Winarto, M.Sc. as Head of Academic Quality Assurance Unit.

In the opening of the event, several things that must be implemented and considered by the auditor in preparing the report on the results of the internal audit were also presented. First, the auditor must report if there has been or will be a chance of non-compliance with the fulfillment of one/all of the requirements (Standards, POBs, and Regulations). Then the auditor uses the Corrective Action Request Form (PTP) in reporting non-conformities. The PTP form along with the internal audit discrepancy report will then be submitted to UPMA no later than October 6, 2022.

After the internal audit is completed, on 10-14 October 2022, the series will continue with the improvement of audit findings, management review meetings, and stage I external audit. It is hoped that the internal audit will be fully implemented in order to improve the quality of management in creating an FTUI with an Impact.
