Increase the Number of Doctoral Lecturers and Professors to Maintain the Quality of FTUI Accreditation

The management of human resources and facilities for the period 2022-2026 is entrusted to Ajib Setyo Arifin, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. The handover ceremony and inauguration were held on Friday, January 21, 2022, led by the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU.

In the 2022-2026 management period, the human resources sector was again merged with the public facilities sector. Dr. Ajib as the Associate Dean for Human Resources and Facilities is expected to improve services in the fields of procurement and logistics, maintenance, IT and digitization, databases, internet, utilities and work safety, personnel training/education, performance awards, employee attendance and monitoring, as well as proactive HR assistance services. and excellent service.

“Human Resources and Facilities are the backbone of the tridharma service at FTUI. Education, research and community service will run well if they are supported by lecturers, education staff and adequate facilities and infrastructure,” said Dean Heri.

Lecturers with doctoral education greatly determine the quality of accreditation of higher education institutions. Therefore, the role of management in encouraging and facilitating lecturers to achieve doctoral degrees is important. “The strategy that will be used is to seek information on school opportunities and scholarships, and disseminate it to young lecturers at FTUI. In addition to lecturers with doctoral education, the ratio of the number of professors which is increasing is also the next target. The HR and Facilities team will proactively improve promotion services through reminders and assistance,” said Dr. Ajib related to FTUI’s future HR development strategy.

In the field of facilities, FTUI is also targeting to gradually increase UI’s Greenmetric score and digitize campus services. The steps that will be taken are increasing efficiency in various aspects including water, electricity, and waste. The digitization that will be carried out is the centralization of software licenses used by the FTUI academic community.

Ajib Setyo Arifin, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. is a teaching staff at the Department of Electrical Engineering, FTUI. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Indonesia and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Keio University, Japan. In 2015, Dr. Ajib served as the Head of the BP3TI Border BTS Cooperation Team (Kemenkominfo) and DTE FTUI, the Head of the DTE FTUI Diaspora Scientist Program Team in 2020, the Head of the IABEE Accreditation Team for the DTE FTUI Electrical Engineering Study Program in 2021 and the Head of the Telecommunication Laboratory DTE FTUI (2019 – 2022) .
