NTUST Visits FTUI, Offers Full English Exchange Program

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia received a visit from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) on Thursday (13/10). The delegation from NTUST was represented by Prof. Ming-Jyh Chern, the Dean of the NTUST Faculty of Engineering, accompanied by Prof. Chen-Hao Wang as the Vice Dean of the NTUST Faculty of Engineering, as well as several delegates from the NTUST Faculty of Engineering, namely: Prof. Yian Tai, Asst. Prof. Meng-Lin Tsai, Assoc. Prof. An-Jui Li, Prof. Yong-Lin Kuo, and Prof. Wei-Hsin Tian.

The delegation was accepted by Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FTUI accompanied by Mrs. Fadhilah Muslim S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. DIC. as Secretary of the FTUI Education Modernization and Internationalization Unit along with Mrs. Ayomi Dita Rarasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. as the Head of the Civil Engineering Department; Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, S.T., M.T. as the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department and Muhammad Ibadurrohman, M.T., Ph.D. from the Department of Chemical Engineering; Dr. Ahmad Zakiyuddin, S.T., M.Eng. as Secretary of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials; and Amilia Novitasari, S.Sos, M.M. as the Coordinator of Education Internationalization Affairs.

In his remarks, the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration stated, “The collaboration between FTUI and NTUST has been going on for a long time, even many Doctoral alumni from NTUST are lecturers at FTUI, therefore the MoU which will expire is expected to be extended soon”.

The Dean of FT NTUST welcomed this to continue cooperation with FTUI and even proposed to add a new scope by offering a 1-semester exchange program for FTUI students entitled International Advanced Technology Program (IATP) with full English programs for students of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering. , Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgy & Materials Engineering. This meeting ended with an interview session by NTUST with prospective students of the Master’s program at NTUST, located in the I-Cell FTUI building.
