14 FTUI Students Participate in My Digital Academy, Bank Mandiri

Fourteen active students from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI), are participating in the My Digital Academy (MDA) Batch 2 organized by Bank Mandiri. This initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to attracting young Indonesian talents in the field of information technology. MDA Batch 2 started in September 2023 and will conclude in July 2024.

For MDA Batch 2, the number of applicants reached 24,673, showing a 60% increase from the previous period. The number of participants who successfully passed the training camp also experienced a surge, reaching 600 participants. Out of the 600 participants in MDA Batch 2, 45 students from the University of Indonesia took part. Participants came from various universities across Indonesia. MDA Batch 2 serves as a talent recruitment platform for final-year students and recent graduates from selected universities and faculties.

Activities in MDA Batch 2 focus on the development of information technology capabilities, carried out through a one-month training camp. Participants in MDA Batch 2 learn various topics during the training camp, including product strategy, customers, and market landscape; basic data analysis; customer journey mapping and minimum viable product; UI/UX fundamentals; low-code development; and non-technical skill series.

“My Digital Academy Batch 2 is an excellent platform for developing both technical and non-technical skills for students, especially those in their final year and recent graduates entering the workforce. The training materials provided by MDA Batch 2 can serve as additional preparation applicable in the future, given the rapid advancement of information technology that requires adaptation to changes,” expressed Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI.

“Amid the digital era, the role of digital talents becomes crucial as a bridge and balance between company needs and challenges in the industry. Moreover, digital security is currently the main focus for businesses in the financial sector, considering the widespread development of the internet,” stated Timothy Utama, Director of Information Technology at Bank Mandiri.

Participants who complete the training camp have the chance to receive attractive prizes. These prizes include pocket money of IDR 10,000,000 and a golden ticket (conditional job offer) to join Bank Mandiri.
