FTUI Receives Visit from Queensland University of Technology, Follow-up Education Cooperation

A delegation from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), under the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ana Deletic paid a working visit to the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI), on (19/10). Prof Ana was accompanied by Prof Firuz Zare, Director of the School of Electrical and Robotic Engineering, Sarah Briant, Senior Lecturer of the School of Architecture and Environment, Annie Liu, Head of International Admissions, and Yustina Saksono, Country Engagement Manager of QUT-Indonesia.

The FTUI and QUT meeting was a continuation of the long-standing cooperation between FTUI and QUT, which has been conducting educational cooperation since 1998. QUT’s visit to FTUI this time was to follow up on the dual degree programme education cooperation agreement between FTUI and QUT.

“The initiation of a cooperation agreement between QUT and FTUI in the future can be continued in dual degree cooperation for Civil Engineering with a 2+2 (built environment), 2+2+1, or 2+3 (master sustainable infrastructure, and project management) scheme. The same scheme can also be done for the Mechanical Engineering study programme for the advanced manufacturing master programme. We are also interested in developing 1+1 double degree master programmes for master of renewable energy, master in professional engineering, and master in engineering technology. In addition, we also offer a 2+2 programme for Architecture in interior design and architectural landscape,” Prof Ana said.

FTUI welcomed the initiative and is ready to continue developing cooperation with QUT. It is proven that during the period of cooperation, FTUI and QUT have produced graduates who are ready to compete on a global scale. This cooperation discussion will be implemented into the realisation of future programmes.

“FTUI and QUT have travelled a long journey of cooperation. We continue to be open to various developments towards higher quality and superior cooperation to create graduates who are ready for careers in the global world. The modernisation and internationalisation that we are doing is a form of implementing our hope for the continued selection of superior generations to pursue education and become reliable future engineers,” said Prof. Ir.
