FTUI Introduces 18 Innovative Products at the 3rd UI I-Gov Expo 2023

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), participated in the UI Industrial-Government Expo (UI I-Gov Expo) 2023 held on December 5-6 at Balairung Campus UI Depok. The annual event organized by Universitas Indonesia through the Directorate of Cooperation was honoured to be opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin. In his opening remarks, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin discussed efforts to develop the halal industry ecosystem in Indonesia. He highlighted the importance of collaboration from all parties in facing the impact of technological disruption.

“Now we have witnessed and felt the impact of technological disruption that has changed our perspective and way of life. Therefore, all stakeholders must increasingly collaborate to produce breakthroughs. I appreciate the UI Industrial-Government Expo, the third edition in 2023, for promoting innovation and digitization in the country to improve people’s welfare,” expressed Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

During this event, FTUI had the opportunity to introduce 18 innovative products developed by FTUI lecturers and students. Among these products were 7 electronic devices and 11 chemical products showcased at the booth, including a knock-down baby incubator, Buma ventilator, Tetragonula biroi aff bee propolis, and others. In addition to the exhibition, there were two other main events at UI I-Gov Expo 2023: seminars and award ceremonies.

In a separate statement, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., Dean of FTUI, stated, “We are proud to introduce 18 of the many innovative products created by FTUI lecturers and students. These products reflect FTUI’s dedication to developing superior and impactful technological research. This event is also an opportunity for FTUI to establish new partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders.”

UI I-Gov Expo 2023 is a tangible manifestation of the Penta helix collaboration involving academic partners, the government, the public, the media, and industry. The main goal of this event is to create synergy and collaboration between various stakeholders to promote the nation’s welfare through digital innovation. The expo also aims to build a strong network as a foundation to support Indonesia’s progress.
