On Thursday (12/14), the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia (FTUI) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind). Rekind is a service company engaged in industrial design and construction, also known as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).
The signing of this collaboration was conducted by the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU, and the Acting Director of PT Rekayasa Industri, Mrs. Triyani Utaminingsih, at the Lobby of Building K, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. This event is part of the series of activities in the Plant Design Expo organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering FTUI in 2023.
The collaboration between FTUI and Rekind aims to serve as the foundation for the implementation of the Tri Dharma, the three main responsibilities of higher education institutions in education and teaching, to enhance the competence of students. This collaboration opens up opportunities for Rekind’s human resources to become practitioner lecturers within the FTUI environment, making Rekind a venue for internships for students and lecturers, as well as various potential collaborations for problem-solving and contributions related to engineering issues.
In his address, Prof. Heri Hermansyah stated, “Previously, FTUI and Rekind have a long history of very good collaboration. Today is an important moment for FTUI and Rekind, strengthening collaboration for both parties. Opening up networking horizons with various practical aspects needed in the current industry, especially in the fields of engineering and design. Hopefully, this collaboration can provide mutual benefits and make the Faculty of Engineering and PT Rekayasa Industri even more excellent and impactful for the development of our beloved nation.”
In line with what Prof. Heri expressed, the Acting Director of PT Rekayasa Industri, Mrs. Triyani Utaminingsih, said, “Hopefully, the long-standing collaboration will continue for a long time. We have the same goals, advancing the field of industrial engineering and improving the quality of human resources, where FTUI, together with Rekind, prepares the next generation of the nation that is proud and can contribute to the country.”
The signing of this cooperation agreement was also attended by Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU (Dean FTUI); Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto (Manager of Cooperation and Ventures); Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, ST., MT (Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering); Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR (Manager of Public Communication and General Administration); Triyani Utaminingsih (Acting Director of PT Rekayasa Industri); Mohammad Agung (SVP PMFO); Muh Zuhri Al Khafidh (SVP HCCS); Tjaturtjitra Suhitarini (VP Development & Organization).
