On Friday, January 21, 2022, the UI Rector inaugurated two FTUI Vice Deans for the 2022-2026 period. Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar M.Eng., M.Sc. as Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. Faculty as Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration of FTUI at the inauguration event which was held in hybrid manner.
After the inauguration ceremony, FTUI once again celebrated the handing over of the baton of leadership in the Farewell and Welcome Ceremony of the FTUI Vice Dean. Also present at the event, the Dean of FTUI for the period 2022-2026, Prof. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI for the period 2018-2022, Dr. Ir. Hendri D.S. Budiono, M.Eng. Chair and Secretary of the Faculty Academic Senate, Chair and Secretary of the Board of Faculty Professors, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments and Associate Deans within the FTUI for the 2018-2022 period, the Vice Deans for the 2018-2022 period, and the FTUI administrators for the 2022-2026 period.
In his remarks, Dean Heri expressed his highest appreciation to the previous Vice Deans who have completed their duties very well. “The achievements of Prof. Asvial and Prof. Nandy has been an example and role model for the next Vice Deans who will only start their duties today for the next four years. During this transition period, we are very grateful to the Vice Deans and Associate Deans in the 2018-2022 period for continuing to work together in carrying out various activities so that they run smoothly.”
In his farewell, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhamad Asvial, M.Eng. expressed his gratitude for the support from the academic community during his eight years as Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs. “The cooperation and commitment that has been established so far has made FTUI, especially in the field of education, research and student affairs, has always become an example at UI. I also take this opportunity to apologize to the academic community if so far there have been wrong words, actions or policies that are not pleasing. This is all to show that FTUI excels in enforcing the applicable regulations.”
While Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nandy Putra in his farewell greeting expressed his gratitude for all the opportunities given so far. “For 25 years I have served in structural capacity. Alhamdulillah, I have now finished my duty as Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration. This is not the end and I promise to continue to contribute positively to our beloved FTUI. Thanks to my team, the salute and solid team. There is Dr. Imansyah who has tidied up our venture units and increased FTUI’s income, Dr. Jos who has again increased the number of FT Professors, and Dr. Jaya who has helped realize FTUI facilities.”
At the event, were shown videos expressing gratitude and appreciation for the extraordinary performance to Prof. Asvial and Prof. Nandy. The videos come from fellow education staff who work under their respective fields of the Deputy Dean.
