On Thursday (18/08), the UI Faculty of Engineering again carried out an offline Faculties Academic System Introduction (PSAF) after the previous 2 years it was carried out online due to the pandemic. PSAF activities are intended for new students in Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. Undergraduate and Postgraduate PSAF was conducted in a series of one-day events and took place at the University of Indonesia Hall. In the morning session, PSAF was held for Undergraduate programs (Regular, Parallel, and International). Then in the afternoon session continued with PSAF for Postgraduate programs (Master, Doctoral, and Professional).
The PSAF activity was opened with a safety induction video and singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya. After that, the activity continued with remarks from the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., and the introduction of FTUI faculty and department management for the period 2022-2026.
In his speech, Prof. Heri expressed his hopes for the new students of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. “You are excellent students. In addition to being excellent students, we hope that you become alumni who are excellent and have an impact on Indonesia. In the next four years, you will proceed to become students, in the fields of education, academic and non-academic. We hope that you become excellent FTUI students,” said Prof. Harry.
After the remarks and introductions, a doodly video of the journey that will be taken by students from the beginning of the lecture to graduation is shown. The next event was a talk show moderated by Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC. as Secretary of the Education Modernization and Internationalization Unit.
3 main themes are carried out in the PSAF 2022 Talkshow, the first is on the field of student affairs which is presented by Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T. as Manager of Student Affairs, Research, and Community Service. The second theme is about research and research carried out by Dr. Nyoman Suwartha, S.T., M.T., M.Agr. as Education Manager. Finally, the third theme regarding international education opportunities was presented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng. as Head of the Education Modernization and Internationalization Unit.
The offline implementation of PSAF in 2022 was enthusiastically welcomed by new students. FTUI has accepted 2203 new students consisting of 1578 undergraduate students and 625 postgraduate students in the 2022/2023 academic year.
