FTUI Sends 11 Double Degree Postgraduate Students to University of Leeds

On Monday (19/09), the FTUI Department of Civil Engineering’s Master’s Degree Double Degree students were released who will continue their education at The University of Leeds, England. The 11 Double Degree Masters’s students who will depart are part of the educational collaboration program between FTUI and the Ministry of Transportation. Currently, there are 9 students in the cooperation program who are still studying at FTUI and are preparing to leave in the next semester.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, FTUI said, “I express my gratitude and highest appreciation to the Ministry of Transportation for the scholarships given to Civil Engineering Masters students so that double degree students this can go to Leeds University. For the 9 students who are currently still at FTUI, hopefully, the students can keep their spirits up in carrying out their lectures at FTUI. We hope that this good cooperation will continue every year, namely having a force from the Ministry of Transportation.”

Drs. Nahnuddin, M.Sc. as the representative of the Head of the Center for Human Resources Development for Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation said, “Currently there is an urgency in human resource development in the institutions of the Ministry of Transportation. This is so that we can keep up with the developments and demands of transportation technology. I also want to emphasize that students who are studying at FTUI can maintain and avoid plagiarism during the lecture process to maintain the good name of themselves and the institution.”

Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, FTUI, Ayomi Dita Rarasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. deliver presentations containing briefings to postgraduate students before their departure to the University of Leeds for the smooth running of their study journey. Some of the things that were explained included the need for goods, environmental conditions, and other information to support students’ readiness when carrying out the lecture process later.

At the end of the event, there was a symbolic handover of the LoA by Prof. Yanuar and Drs. Nahnuddin to the Double Degree S2 Civil Engineering Students represented by Br. Gatot Armandiantoro Adi. Also present at this event, was the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, MSc., Ph.D., Cooperation Manager, Venture, and Alumni Dr. Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, and the Head of the Education Modernization and Internationalization Unit, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng.

We congratulate and wish success to 11 Double Degree students who will study at the University of Leeds. They include Astri Lestari, Epa Suryanto, Gatot Armadiantoro Adi, Komang Risma Devi Kartika, Mahardi Arief Tanjung, Mohadi Prasetyo, Muhammad Ilham, Novia Iswara Pratiwi, Putu Yudiek Suhermawan, Rahmadsyah Yazid Putra, and Ulfah Azizah.
