On Friday, September 9, 2022, the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia received a visit from Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Science, University of Muhammadiyah Purwakerto. The visit of lecturers and laboratory assistants of Chemical Engineering FTS UMP is intended to conduct comparative studies with Chemical Engineering FTUI to improve academic quality in the FTS UMP environment.
Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, ST., MT (Head of Chemical Engineering Department) welcomed UMP together with Dr. Dianursanti, S.T., M.T (Secretary of Chemical Engineering), Apriliana Cahya Khayrani, S.T.P., M.Eng., Ph.D. (Lecturer of Chemical Engineering), and Muhammad Ibadurahman, S.T., M.T., M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D. ( Chemical Engineering Lecturer).
The meeting was opened by Dr. Bambang expressed his gratitude for UMP’s visit and hopes that the Chemical Engineering Department will make a return visit to Purwakerto. Next Dr. Bambang explained the profile of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Accreditation of LAM ENGINEERING for Masters in Chemical Engineering which was used as a pilot study program, promotion of lector lecturer to head of lector, formation of new research groups and research laboratories. He also explained the international cooperation that the Chemical Engineering Department has carried out with NCU, Curtin University, NTSU, and several other foreign universities.
After discussions and questions and answers regarding each faculty and study program, the UMP group led by Abdul Haris Mulyadi, S.T., M.T., Deputy Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs FTS UMP, went around to see the laboratories available at the Chemical Engineering Department. While walking around the Chemical Engineering Department, Aprilia explained that the laboratory at DTK is sanitation access for research, so one laboratory is flexible and can be used by several research groups. By noon, the meeting ended with a group photo and the handover of placards from each representative of Chemical Engineering.
