The Bio Medical Engineering Research Cluster of the Faculty of Engineering UI, held the International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE). This symposium is the First International Symposium in Biomedical Engineering Symposium in Indonesia and was held on 31 May – 01 June 2016 in Margo Hotel, Depok. The Symposium was opened by the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation UI, Prof. Dr. rer. nat Rosari Saleh, accompanied by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs FTUI, Dr. Ir. M. Asvial, M.Eng and General Chair of ISBE 2016, Dr. Basari.
In this symposium, over 70 best papers are categorized into several categories: Biomaterials & Biomimetics (15 papers), Biomedical Imaging & Informatics (5 papers), Biosensors & Biomedical Instrument (14 papers), Drug Development & Delivery (21 papers), Medical Reagents & Devices (7 papers), and Rehabilitation Engineering (7 papers).
The symposium have five keynote speakers: Prof. Eko Supriyanto from UTM Malaysia; Prof. Jun Ohta from Nara Institute of Science Technology, Japan; Prof. Kim Sukyoung from Yeungnam University, Korea; Prof. Amin Soebandrio from the Faculty of Medicine UI; and Dr. Lee D.
