EVISEM Verification Implementation Efforts to Maintain Academy Quality Faculty of Engineering UI

The Academic Quality Assurance Unit (UPMA) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) has held a Preliminary Meeting of Internal Evaluation Semester (EVISEM) Verification as part of their efforts to maintain high academic quality. The event took place on Monday, September 11, 2023, and was attended by the UPMA team as well as lecturer representatives assigned as FTUI internal verifiers.

In this meeting, the UPMA team together with FTUI internal verifiers, such as Ir. Abdul Wahid, MT., PhD; Dr. Eng. Arnas, S.T., M.T.; Dr. Maya Arlini Puspasari, S.T., M.T., MBA; Dr. Eng. Mia Rizkinia S.T., M.T.; Dr. Ir. Bambang Priyono, M.T.; Dr. Ing. Yulia Nurliani Harahap, M.Des.; Mulia Orientize, S.T., M.Eng.; and Dr. RM. Sandyanto Adityosulindro, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., gathered to evaluate the extent to which FTUI assessors or internal verifiers assisted in the verification of 52 study programs at FTUI. The purpose of this evaluation is to ensure that the completion of Evisem (Semester Internal Evaluation) reaches 100%.

This activity is an important part of the UI Internal Semester Evaluation (Evisem) series involving all levels of S1 (Parallel, Regular, International), S2, S3, and Professional Programs at the Universitas Indonesia. Filling in Evisem data by departments is required in the period September 1-20, 2023, and UPMA FTUI will evaluate and provide recommendations on Evisem data that has been filled in by each department in the period September 21-30, 2023.

The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, commented on the importance of this activity, “Internal Semester Evaluation is a critical step in maintaining FTUI’s academic quality. The results of the analysis and verifier report will be very useful in preparing for accreditation, which is an external assessment of the quality of education at FTUI.”

As for the evaluation of this meeting, it resulted in an agreement that the results of the analysis and verifier report in the Evisem evaluation of each department can help and will be a reference at the time of accreditation. In addition, to improve and maintain Academic Quality at FTUI, in collaboration with departments to increase awareness in implementing improvements from each recommendation given by UPMA and the verifier team.

In addition, the meeting also emphasized the importance of cooperation between FTUI and departments to raise awareness in implementing improvements based on the recommendations provided by UPMA and the verifier team. These measures will help maintain and improve academic quality at FTUI, in line with the faculty’s commitment to providing quality education to students.
