FTUI and University of Melbourne Expand Collaboration in Academic and Research Fields

On Friday (11/17) the Faculty of Technology, University of Indonesia (FTUI) received a working visit from the University of Melbourne. The visit was represented by Prof Jagannath Aryal, Associate Professor in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Melbourne.

“FTUI has long established cooperation with the University of Melbourne in the single degree programme, we hope to expand collaboration in the undergraduate double degree programme, fast track and invite the University of Melbourne as a guest lecturer at FTUI on future occasions” said Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Manager of Student Affairs, Research and Community Service.

In addition, the University of Melbourne has a research programme, namely the Exchange Research Programme and Research Degree, PhD Program. On the other hand, the Australian and Indonesian governments themselves have a partnership platform in research grants, this forum can be the main support for collaboration, so this programme attracts the interest of the PWK and the Department of Electrical Engineering to collaborate in the field of research in the future.

On a separate occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST, M.Eng., IPU, said, “We open as wide an opportunity as possible to collaborate with the University of Melbourne in terms of modernising engineering education. Through open opportunities for academic and research fields, this is the first step to creating graduates who can excel and be globally competitive”.

This visit took place in the Academic Senate Meeting Room of the Dean’s Building, 2nd Floor FTUI. WashU was represented by Prof Jagannath Aryal, Associate Professor in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering at The University of Melbourne, and welcomed by the Manager of Student Affairs, Research and Community Service, Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Secretary of the Education Modernisation and Internationalisation Unit, Fadhilah Muslim S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC., Representative of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Naufan Raharya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Dr. Ir. Dodi Sudiana, M.Eng., Representative of the Regional and Urban Planning (PWK) Interdisciplinary Programme, Dr. Mustika Sari, S.Ars., M.T., Farrah Eriska Putri, S.T, M.Ars.
