Tikka Anggraeni Chosen as a Member of the University of Indonesia Board of Trustees for the 2024-2029 Period

Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., Public Communication and General Administration Manager of FTUI, has been elected as a member of the University of Indonesia Board of Trustees (MWA UI) representing the Education Personnel (Tendik) from 2024 to 2029. Tikka garnered 497 votes in the Election held on Thursday (14/03). Her election marks her as the first Tendik from FTUI to serve on the MWA UI.

Tikka’s vision as an MWA UI member is to act as a bridge for UI policies aimed at enhancing the welfare and empowerment of educational personnel. She has five main areas of focus regarding the development of educational personnel at UI.

“Firstly, I aim to promote the professional empowerment of Tendik. This includes career advancement opportunities, a fair and transparent rewards system, and chances for Tendik to receive continuous education and training. Another concern of mine is the welfare of Tendik; I believe it’s time for UI to establish minimum standards for salaries, benefits, and other facilities, as well as providing permanent employment status for temporary Tendik,” said Tikka.

Furthermore, Tikka desires active participation from Tendik in decision-making processes, especially those concerning educational personnel. She also aims to promote a fair promotion system based on merit and create a safe, comfortable, supportive work environment free from discrimination, labelling, and sexual violence.

Tikka was elected after undergoing a series of selections alongside 17 other candidates, starting from document collection, internal presentations before fellow candidates, and selection of the top 3, to winning the election, now holding the position as a member of the MWA UI representing Educational Personnel. She is ready to represent all Tendik at UI to voice their aspirations towards a more progressive UI.

Tikka expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her. “I am deeply grateful for the trust bestowed upon me to become a member of the University of Indonesia’s Board of Trustees. I see this as an extraordinary opportunity to represent the voice of Tendik and contribute to bridging policies that support the welfare and empowerment of educational personnel within the UI community. My primary commitment is to represent the voice of Tendik and actively contribute to the university’s progress towards a more inclusive and progressive direction,” she stated.

“Tikka’s success as the first Tendik from FTUI to serve on the MWA UI is a remarkable achievement and will undoubtedly positively impact educational personnel. We are confident that Tikka’s dedication and commitment to representing the voice of Tendik and bridging policies for the welfare of educational personnel will make a positive contribution to the overall progress of the University of Indonesia,” expressed Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., Dean of FTUI, appreciating Tikka’s election as a member of the MWA UI for the 2024-2029 period.

After completing her Diploma 3 in Secretarial Studies at Tarakanita Secretarial Academy, Tikka continued her studies at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UI, obtaining Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Science. Tikka began her career at FTUI in 2004, making this year her 20th year of service at UI. Additionally, Tikka is the first educational personnel at FTUI to hold a managerial position within the faculty’s structural hierarchy.

As the Public Communication and General Administration Manager (KPAU), Tikka has strengthened her competencies by obtaining Certified Public Relations (CPR) certification. This serves as evidence of her expertise in taking strategic steps for organizational development in the field of Public Relations, based on comprehensive planning, analysis, and evaluation, with full responsibility and high accountability.

Since assuming her managerial role in 2022, the KPAU Unit has achieved numerous accomplishments. At the peak event of UI’s 74th Dies Natalis this year, the General Administration department received the Best Office Archive Award for FTUI, FTUI was honored as the Archive Unit with the highest satisfaction level (AA) (with a score of 94.80), and FTUI won the UI Integrity Zone Award 2023 Honorable Mention.
