On Monday (29/4), the Career Development Center of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (CDC FTUI), organized a socialization event for the fully funded LPDP scholarship program. The event was held at Auditorium K301, Building K FTUI, and was attended by students and alumni from FTUI and other universities. Also present were the Manager of Cooperation, Venture, and Alumni, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, the Head of LPDP Scholarship Cooperation Subdivision, Azman Muammar, representatives from Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd, Stefanny Lie, representatives from PT QMB New Energy Materials, Tegar Mukti Aji, representatives from the Korea University of Science & Technology (UST), Ir. Chairul Hudaya, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D, IPM., and representatives from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Talinda Dwi Permata, and Irma Kartika Sari.

In his opening speech, Dr. Dalhar said, “After graduating, students have various career options, such as working, continuing their master’s degree, or starting a business. However, for those who want to pursue further studies, LPDP is one of the best options. Today, we are here in this Auditorium along with representatives from LPDP, a scholarship institution that is very important in supporting higher education in Indonesia. For the attendees who are interested in continuing their studies, now is the right time to find out about the opportunities as well as tips and tricks. LPDP collaborates with various universities to organize scholarship programs in specific fields according to national strategic needs. Not only LPDP, there are also collaborative scholarships from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).”

The Head of the LPDP Scholarship Cooperation Subdivision, Azman Muammar, explained about LPDP scholarships. Currently, many LPDP scholarships collaborate with campus and industry partners. Therefore, participants can study while working in the industries that have collaborated. This is very convenient for students who are currently studying. Azman also encouraged students, especially final-semester students, to apply for LPDP programs and dare to try the scholarships offered.

“Among the collaboration programs established with LPDP are Northeastern University (NEU) in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, Central South University (CSU) in the fields of Metallurgy and Material Science, with the Korea University of Science & Technology (UST) in the fields of Digital, Renewable Energy, Blue Economy, Biotechnology, and BRIN’s Talent Research and Innovation Scholarship in the fields of Biodiversity, Nuclear, Aviation, Space, and Maritime,” explained Azman.

On a separate occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., also gave his opinion, “Considering the many educational institutions that have collaborated, and also the fields that are currently developing, choosing to continue education with an LPDP scholarship is a very good option for students or graduates. Hopefully, the participants who are present today will gain insight into the LPDP scholarship program. Let us make the most of this opportunity to develop ourselves and contribute to the progress of our nation.”
