Plan Reunion for FTUI International Program Alumni, ILUMPI and FTUI Coordinate

On Thursday (16/05), the Community of International Program Alumni (ILUMPI) of FTUI visited FTUI to present the proposal for a reunion and the celebration of the International Program’s (PI) anniversary. Representatives from the International Program Student Association (IMPI) also attended this meeting.

The reunion and anniversary celebration of the International Program are planned to be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, within the FTUI campus. Initially, the event was to be held in the FTUI Auditorium. However, to increase the participant quota, the venue selection will be reconsidered. The goal of this event is to increase the number of alumni updating their data and to strengthen the bond among alumni.

“The participants who attended last year’s reunion and anniversary celebration at the Engineering Cafeteria were about 60-70 people. This year, our target is 225 participants, consisting of 75 alumni and 150 students,” explained Ahmad Tyo, a representative from ILUMPI.

The PI anniversary celebration will feature alumni gatherings, the launch of an alumni database, and alumni business promotions. Additionally, there will be games, sharing sessions, and performances by PI students.

“From this proposal, I think the event is already good. My suggestion is that you should highlight the KKI spirit and what differentiates you from non-KKI students, as you have become global citizens. Besides that, you might consider inviting a band and providing delicious food to attract more participants,” suggested Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Manager of Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni.

On a different occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., expressed, “I greatly appreciate ILUMPI’s initiative to celebrate the anniversary of the International Program. I hope this anniversary celebration runs smoothly and successfully. Additionally, I hope that alumni of the international program, both those working domestically and abroad, can maintain strong ties with their alma mater and contribute positively in various fields.”
