FTUI Celebrates Idul Adha by Sacrificing 5 Cows and 15 Goats

On June 17, 2024, Muslims celebrated Idul Adha. This significant religious holiday is marked by the sacrificial offering of animals as a tribute to Allah SWT and a demonstration of devotion to the Creator.

Recognizing the importance of this celebration, FTUI joined in the festivities by organizing the sacrifice of animals on June 19, 2024. A total of 5 cows and 15 goats were sacrificed at FTUI. The slaughtered animals produced over 1,000 packages of sacrificial meat. These meat packages were then distributed to the academic community within FTUI and the surrounding residents of UI.

The Idul Adha celebration was attended by Didit Ratam, Chairperson of ILUNI UI; Nanang Sugianto, Chairperson of ILUNI FTUI; Dr. rer. pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Manager of Student Affairs, Research, and Community Service; and the Forum for Ukhuwah and Islamic Studies (FUSI) FTUI.

“On behalf of the entire FTUI family, I wish everyone a blessed Idul Adha 1445 H. Alhamdulillah, this year FTUI was able to sacrifice 5 cows and 15 goats. We are also very pleased that the outcome of this sacrifice can help those in need. May this sacrifice increase our piety to the Almighty,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI.
