Building Cooperation with China, FTUI Holds Construction Training with PT CSCODS

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) has collaborated with PT China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai (PT CSCODS) in a training program called the CCEED HUANG PU Overseas Training Program. The collaboration was inaugurated with an Opening Ceremony held in the K301 Hall, K Building FTUI, on Monday, July 1, 2024.

The training program includes topics such as Introduction to Indonesian Politics, Society and Culture, Overview of the Construction Industry in Indonesia, Indonesian Construction Law and Regulation, Indonesia Construction Marketing Analysis, Supply Chain Analysis of Indonesia Construction Industry, HR Management in the Construction Industry, Supply Chain Analysis of Indonesia Construction Industry, and Investment and Finance Issues in the Construction Industry.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Director of PT CSCODS (INDONESIA), Wang Ruiming, provided a brief introduction to the company, CSCEC, CCEED, and CSCODS. Wang Ruiming explained that the sponsor of this training program is China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp. (CCEED), one of the most important and largest subsidiaries of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). This training program marks the first collaboration between the company Universitas Indonesia and IF Language Center.

“One of the partners in this training, Universitas Indonesia, is a leading university in Indonesia with an excellent teaching team and high-quality teaching conditions. The training lecturers come from various faculties related to the training topics and possess deep knowledge and research accumulation in the relevant fields. I am confident that with the joint support of both parties, this training will achieve the expected results,” said Wang Ruiming.

The Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., also gave his remarks, “UI and China have had a long and beneficial relationship for many years. We are highly committed to promoting academic exchange and collaboration, recognizing the great potential for mutual learning and growth. This training session embodies that spirit, bringing beneficial collaboration from both countries.”

On another occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, shared his views, “We believe that this training session is just the beginning. We envision a future where the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, and China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai Indonesia can further strengthen our relationship through internship programs and talent recruitment. This program will also make a significant contribution to the advancement of engineering on a global scale.”

The event proceeded with the signing of the cooperation agreement, represented by Mahmud Sudibandriyo from FTUI and Wang Ruiming from PT CSCODS (INDONESIA). The signing was witnessed by representatives from FTUI, Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Manager of Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Public Communication and General Administration Expert Staff, Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, and FTUI lecturer representative, Ir. Azrar Hadi Ramli, Ph.D. Meanwhile, representatives from PT CSCODS (INDONESIA) included HR Manager, Arliza Arga, HQ HR Expert, Li Xiangpu, and 29 training participants. Representatives from IF Language Center, including CEO Yi Yan, Head of the Education Department Ms. Xiaoyu, and Senior Indonesian Language Teacher Ms. Feli, were also present. The session concluded with a group photo.

In the final session, Yi Yan provided an overview of the IF Language Center. Yi Yan briefly explained the profile of the IF Language Center, its programs, teaching methods, and teacher profiles. Xiaoyu then introduced the training programs and learning systems offered.
