The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) has once again achieved a remarkable feat by securing First Place overall at the UI Integrity Zone (ZI) Award 2024. This achievement underscores FTUI’s commitment to implementing good governance principles and high integrity within the academic environment. The award was announced on Thursday (29/08) at the Universitas Indonesia Convention Center.
FTUI’s preparation for the Integrity Zone began in earnest in 2022. Despite being relatively new to this effort, FTUI achieved 4th Place at the UI ZI Award 2023. This rapid improvement quickly demonstrates FTUI’s dedication and commitment to building a transparent and accountable governance system.
At the UI ZI Award 2024, FTUI achieved the title of Best Leveraging Area in four out of six main Integrity Zone areas, namely:
- Change Management Area – FTUI was recognized for implementing significant changes in governance and a work culture that is more adaptive and responsive to challenges.
- Governance Arrangement Area – The faculty also excelled in organizing more efficient and transparent work procedures, positively impacting academic and administrative services.
- Human Resources Management System Arrangement Area – Success in managing professional, competent, and highly integral human resources was a key factor in FTUI’s achievement.
- Supervision Strengthening Area – FTUI also demonstrated excellence in strengthening an effective supervision system to ensure accountability and transparency in every administrative and operational process.
By winning awards in these four critical areas, FTUI has shown its dominance and excellence at the UI ZI Award 2024.
This award further solidifies FTUI’s efforts to achieve the titles of Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Zone (WBBM). WBK is an accolade given to work units that successfully establish a corruption-free work environment, while WBBM is awarded to work units that have achieved the highest standards in public service and clean, effective, and serving bureaucratic governance.
Additionally, a special award was given to Mrs. Nourma Yunita from the Faculty of Engineering Documentation Center (Pusdok FT), who was selected as the Best ZI PIC. This award was presented in recognition of her dedication and active role in coordinating and overseeing the implementation of the Integrity Zone at FTUI, leading to extraordinary achievements.
Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Acting Dean of FTUI, expressed his pride in this achievement. “This success is the result of the hard work of the entire FTUI academic community. We are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of governance at our faculty and serving as an example for other faculties at UI,” he said.
The UI Integrity Zone Award is an annual award presented by Universitas Indonesia to work units that have successfully implemented the Integrity Zone. The Integrity Zone itself is an effort to build work units that are free from corruption and to improve the quality of public services through the attainment of WBK and WBBM.
With this achievement, FTUI not only strengthens its position as one of the best faculties at UI but also reaffirms its commitment to building a work culture with high integrity and towards achieving WBK and WBBM.
