The Engineering Partnership Golf Tournament, held on Sunday (29/09) at Gunung Geulis Country Club, Bogor, achieved great success. The tournament, attended by 159 participants, attracted participants from various sectors, including the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) and members of the Chemical Engineering Division of the Indonesian Engineers Association (BKK PII). Participants from prestigious universities such as UI, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), and Gadjah Mada University (UGM) also took part in this event. The tournament was part of FTUI’s 60th Anniversary celebration and aimed to strengthen ties between the university and industry.
During the tournament, participants competed in several categories, including Best Gross Overall, Best Point Overall, Nearest to The Pin, Longest Drive, and the Best Team category for BKK PII members. Although the spectacular prizes for the Hole in One category, such as a BYD Seal, BYD ATTO, BYD Dolphin, BYD M6, and Wuling Air EV, were not claimed by anyone, the spirit of competition remained high.
The Chairman of the Committee, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported the event. “The extraordinary participation of golfers and sponsors means a lot to us. We hope that through this tournament, the relationship between the Faculty of Engineering UI and industry partners will grow even stronger,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, also appreciated the participants’ enthusiasm. He emphasized the importance of building strong and sustainable networks between academia and industry to drive innovation. “I hope this event will open up greater opportunities for collaborations that positively impact the nation,” he stated.
More than just a competition, the Engineering Partnership Golf Tournament also served as a fundraising platform for renovating the Smart Auditorium at Building K 301, FTUI. With support from various parties, the funds raised reached Rp801,836,000 and will be used to support the renovation of the facility. This Smart Auditorium will become a modern centre for academic and social activities, providing an inspiring learning environment for students.
At the end of the tournament, the title of Best Gross Overall was awarded to Aan Anugerah, while William from UGM 01 won the Best Point Overall. The Engineering Partnership Golf Tournament is expected to continue as a networking event, strengthening relationships between alumni, industry partners, and the university, while also providing tangible benefits for educational development at FTUI.
With the success of this tournament, not only have greater opportunities for collaboration emerged, but there is also increased awareness of the importance of social contributions through charitable activities. FTUI hopes that similar events will continue to be held to support the advancement of education and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in the future.
