The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), hosted the 2025 Taiwan Semiconductor Job and Study Fair. This event aims to establish collaborative relationships with universities and provide opportunities for studying and working in Taiwan’s semiconductor companies or technical campuses. 177 participants attended the event, including students and alumni from Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and other semiconductor-related fields.
Held on Tuesday (February 25) at the Interdisciplinary Engineering (IDE) Building, this fair marked its third edition since 2023. This year, five semiconductor companies and five universities from Taiwan participated in the event. The companies included MediaTek, ASE, SPIL, Micron, and UMC. Meanwhile, the participating universities were National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), I-Shou University (ISU), Kun Shan University (KSU), National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), and National Taiwan University (NTU).
The event began with a seminar titled Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Development and Opportunities, which covered topics related to career development and the mechanisms of working in Taiwan. Introductions from the participating companies and universities followed this. The fair also featured in-person interviews with representatives from companies and universities. Additionally, booths were set up to facilitate direct discussions between attendees and representatives.
“For students and job seekers, this fair provides an excellent opportunity to engage with leading companies in the semiconductor industry. We sincerely appreciate the support from participating companies and universities. Let’s make the most of this opportunity to learn, connect, and grow,” said the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.
