The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), once again presented an inspiring session through ADHI Mengajar: Shaping Future – Alumnae Perspectives on Career Growth, a collaborative program between the Civil Engineering Department of FTUI and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. The event occurred on February 28, 2025, at the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Building, featuring Ir. Bagus Prima A.S.T., M.T., General Manager of the Building Department at PT Adhi Karya and an alumnus of Civil Engineering UI, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Rully Andhika Karim, S.T., M.T., a lecturer at FTUI’s Civil Engineering Department, moderated the session.
During the ADHI Mengajar session, Bagus Prima delivered a sharing session titled “Practical Project Management in Construction Companies.” In this session, undergraduate to doctoral students of Civil Engineering FTUI gained in-depth insights into project management in the construction industry, focusing on applying Building Information Modeling (BIM), Modular Box technology, and project execution strategies from inception to completion. The interactive discussion between the speaker and students made the session even more dynamic, with numerous critical questions raised by the participants.
According to Bagus Prima Anugerah, the ADHI Mengajar program aims to share professional experiences and serve as a platform for building connections between academia and industry professionals. “While Adhi Karya has been known as a contractor company, we continue to evolve in line with business trends and technological advancements. We are transforming into an innovative company with a vision of sustainable growth,” he stated.
ADHI Mengajar is part of PT Adhi Karya’s commitment to supporting the education sector through various initiatives, including education programs, human resource empowerment, career enrichment support, and implementing positive social impacts. Through this program, students gain technical knowledge and insights into career opportunities, industry innovations, and challenges in modern construction.
Dr. Ayomi Dita Rarasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Head of the Civil Engineering Department at FTUI, expressed her hope that this initiative would continue to benefit students. “ADHI Mengajar has been running for several years, and we deliberately invite Civil Engineering UI alumni as speakers to inspire students. I hope that undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students can gain valuable knowledge from this session as preparation for their future careers,” she said.
FTUI Dean, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., welcomed the ADHI Mengajar program as an effort to strengthen the synergy between academia and industry. “Through the ADHI Mengajar initiative, students have the opportunity to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in addressing challenges in the construction sector. I hope this program continues to inspire students to learn and grow.”
As one of Indonesia’s leading construction companies, Adhi Karya continues to expand and innovate across various business sectors. Beyond engineering and construction, since 2024, the company has broadened its business scope to include investment and concessions, property & hospitality, and manufacturing. This strategic expansion aims to enhance the company’s competitiveness and deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Through ADHI Mengajar, FTUI students are expected to be better prepared to face the evolving challenges of the construction industry. This event is tangible proof that collaboration between academia and industry can create opportunities for young generations to learn, develop, and contribute significantly to Indonesia’s future infrastructure.
