On Tuesday (April 15), Adaro Logistics held a Campus Visit at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI). The event, “Discover Your Future through Adaro Logistics Professional Program (ALPP) 2025,” occurred at the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Building. This initiative was a collaboration between the Career Development Center of FTUI (CDC FTUI) and Adora Andalan Indonesia.
The series of activities began with a presentation on the company profile of Adaro Logistics delivered by Mr. Dwi Putut Joko Lelono, HRGA Division Head at Adaro Logistics. This was followed by a business insight-sharing session presented by Mr Djoko Kartiko Sutanto, President Director of Adaro Logistics. The visit concluded with a detailed explanation of the Adaro Logistics Professional Program (ALPP), again delivered by Mr. Dwi Putut Joko Lelono.
In his opening remarks, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration at FTUI, stated, “Through this Campus Visit, we hope to gain a deeper understanding of Adaro and broaden our insight into Indonesia’s mining industry. We firmly believe that collaborations between academia and industry are key to developing adaptive, professional young talents ready to face global challenges.”
The event participants were active FTUI students, particularly from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, naval architecture, and Electrical Engineering. They had the opportunity to receive first-hand explanations from Adaro executives regarding the company’s history, core values, business portfolio, and career opportunities.
One of the event’s highlights was the Adaro Logistics Professional Program (ALPP)—a career development initiative designed by Adaro Logistics, a subsidiary of the Adaro Group, aimed at shaping professional young talents and future leaders in logistics and supply chain management. The program spans two years, with only 10 positions available each year for graduates from various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, naval architecture, and marine transportation.
ALPP participants undergo four weeks of comprehensive training through the Adaro Basic Management Program. This includes operational and technical education supported by experienced technical coaches and mentors. This is followed by five months of on-the-job training in the field. Upon completing the educational phase, participants enter a four-year employment bond within the Adaro Group.
The event was also well received by the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., who remarked, “This program not only broadens students’ understanding of the professional world, but also connects them directly with the logistics and maritime industries—sectors that play a vital role in national development. We are confident that collaborations like this are essential in developing outstanding young talents for the logistics and energy sectors.”
Adaro Andalan Indonesia was established in 2004 as part of the Adaro Group. The company focuses on thermal coal mining, logistics, water, land, and investment. With operational areas in South Kalimantan, South Sumatra, and Central Kalimantan, the company applies a vertically integrated supply chain model, using mining as the starting point to provide critical resources for various industries, including power generation.
