As part of the “Dean Speaks” program, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, ST., M.Eng., Ph.D., held a meeting with young FTUI lecturers on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) at the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Office. The event was attended by more than 30 young lecturers categorized as PUI and civil servant lecturers. In addition to the Dean, the entire leadership team of the FTUI Dean’s Office and Department Heads were also present at the event.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Kemas warmly welcomed the young lecturers, especially those newly appointed as teaching staff at FTUI. “I encourage our young colleagues, particularly those who have just returned from overseas studies, to become sources of inspiration within FTUI. Spread enthusiasm, positive energy, and fresh innovations into our academic atmosphere. Let your international experience serve as valuable capital to enrich our teaching and learning processes, expand research networks, and strengthen our societal contributions. Keep growing, collaborating, and creating. Let us build FTUI as a progressive, inclusive, and impactful academic home.”
The event occurred in a friendly, warm atmosphere, filled with laughter and light-hearted exchanges. In addition to the Dean’s address, the young lecturers received a presentation on academic career paths, delivered by the Human Resources Manager, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Ova Candra Dewi, S.T., M.Sc., GP, IPU. During the session, the lecturers shared their views, suggestions, and input with the FTUI Management Team, particularly regarding upcoming policies. This event served as a platform for dialogue, strengthening relationships among the academic community and fostering a spirit of collaboration for the advancement of FTUI.
The event concluded with a casual gathering where each young lecturer introduced themselves and a lunch session.
