The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), once again hosted the Engineering Career and Internship Fair (ECIF) 2025, an annual event eagerly anticipated by students and alumni as a direct bridge to the professional world. This year’s ECIF was held in a hybrid format, featuring an on-site exhibition at FTUI Engineering Park on September 17–18, 2025, and an online exhibition running from August 26 to September 26, 2025, via ecif.eng.ui.ac.id. This dual approach provided broader access for participants to explore career opportunities without being limited by distance or time.
Throughout the two-day on-site exhibition, ECIF 2025 recorded a total of 2,013 visitors—831 on the first day and 1,182 on the second—reflecting strong enthusiasm from students and alumni to engage directly with industry representatives. Beyond job seeking, the event served as a valuable opportunity to build networks, gain insights into company cultures, and understand workforce trends across various sectors.
ECIF 2025 featured 15 national and international companies and institutions that actively offered career, internship, and scholarship opportunities. The event was supported by main sponsors ParagonCorp and PT SANY Heavy Industry Indonesia, along with partners such as Contact Taiwan, KapanJepan, PT China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai, Xymax Group, BOSSHIRE, PT Kebun Technology Indonesia, ANC Japan, Mie Prefectural Government, PT Nishikawa, PT Asahi Kinzoku, PT Taisei Holdings, and PT Eco Planning. This diverse lineup expanded the horizons of students and alumni in exploring cross-sectoral opportunities—from technology, construction, and manufacturing to international education.
In addition to company partners, ECIF 2025 collaborated with various media and community partners, including Universitas Pertamina, Politeknik Industri Furnitur dan Pengolahan Kayu, Ikatan Mahasiswa Profesi Indonesia (IMPI), Ikatan Mahasiswa Mesin (IMS), Ikatan Mahasiswa Metalurgi (IMM), and the UI SPE Student Chapter. The involvement of these partners broadened the event’s reach and added strategic value for participants seeking to expand their networks across campuses and professional fields.
FTUI Dean Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation:
“We extend our highest gratitude to all company partners who took part in ECIF 2025. Your presence demonstrates a genuine commitment to supporting young talent development, especially in engineering and technology. The synergy between academia and industry is what will shape an excellent, adaptive generation ready to face global challenges.”
Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, also shared his message:
“To all students and alumni, make the most of this opportunity. Meet professionals, learn from their experiences, and start building your professional network early. Remember, career success is not determined solely by your degree, but also by your readiness, attitude, and the connections you build.”
In his report, FTUI’s Manager of Collaboration, Ventures, and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, S.Si., M.Eng., stated:
“ECIF 2025 stands as tangible proof of collaboration between academia and industry in preparing the young generation for professional life. With 15 corporate partners and thousands of student and alumni participants, ECIF 2025 has made a significant positive impact in fostering connections, facilitating employment, and advancing career growth for FTUI students.”
The Engineering Career and Internship Fair is a regular program by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, aimed at bridging students and alumni with professional industries and career development opportunities. More than just a job fair, ECIF serves as a strategic platform for internships, scholarships, as well as research and innovation collaborations. Through its hybrid format, ECIF 2025 provided greater accessibility for participants, allowing them to connect with industries seamlessly both online and offline—despite geographical or scheduling constraints.
Through ECIF 2025, FTUI hopes students and alumni are further inspired to plan their career paths with greater purpose and preparation. The event continues to serve as a vital bridge between academia and industry, and as a growth space for young talents to contribute meaningfully to the nation and the world in the years to come.
